Introducing VISUALS presented by RudeTOON Records

by

Since our official launch, we have really hit the ground running here at RudeTOON Records.  We’ve made it our mission to present to you different trends in art and music from various underground scenes all across the country.  We have a firm belief in PROMOTING and CELEBRATING works of art crossing all mediums.  You’ve heard some of the RudeTOON sounds (PlayDrop, The Mask, and Beateaz) but expect our roster to grow, expanding in all different genres of music!

Speaking of RudeTOON Music… Make sure you keep an eye out for the new PlayDrop song… I had a chance to sit in with the boys at the studio last night, and let me just say the new beat is SICK. The guys who brought you MarSafari have started another chapter on the adventures of celestial travel… “In space, nobody can hear you get weird”.

Onto the VISUALS…

Our first official collaboration is with artist Sean Miller.  Sean is based in Buffalo, New York and his art is definitely something to keep an eye out for.  Once big on the graffiti scene of the Queen City, Sean insists “I didn’t grow out of it, I grew out of the constant threat of going to jail…“.  His style is rooted in graffiti and tattoo-style art, and we dig him so much we’ve hired him out to do our official RudeTOON Logo, as well as two more promo designs.  You kids are gonna flip when you see what Sean’s been cookin’ up for us.  We wont post preliminary drafts, but expect the unveiling SOON– You’ll wanna rep RudeTOON all over your pricey electronics… Still curious? You can find samples of Sean’s work HERE Too lazy to click a damn link? Check this out:

The next collection of featured art comes from the eclectic mind of RudeTOON’s own Rachel LeGault.  Drawing inspiration from Keith Haring, Saturday morning cartoons, Ultra-violence, and a strong belief in monsters under the bed… The pieces below come from her work in progress: “Visual Rants of an Upper-Middle Class White Girl”… The collection will be available for purchase upon completion, in book-form, or canvas (selected works only).

Our last collaboration is with Rufus Nafus of SNAFU Inc. based out of Denver, Colorado.  Nafus describes himself… “If Hank Moody, Kurt Vonnegut, Bret Easton Ellis, and Banksy had a kid… I would be the lame version of that.”  Armed to the teeth with paint pens, and an eye for tastefully placed color, his art looks like a dreamscape of popular culture; Where fluid imagery twists around familiar ideologies we learned and trusted as children… where icons we know and love are twisted and mutilated into monsters out of a nightmare.

So thats all for this time, kids. Like what you see? Hit us up with some feedback! Hate what you see? Go f*ck yourself!
Stay Rude…
